BUFFALO RISING on the Inaugural Amazing Animation Festival

Amazing Animaton Festival founder Gregory Lamberson discusses AAF with the website 411mania.com.

AMAZING ANIMATION FESTIVAL screens animation films of all kinds from around the world over three days at The Screening Room Cinema & Arts Cafe inTonawanda, a suburb of Buffalo, New York: Friday, April 30th  2027 - Sunday, May 2nd, 2027.

AAF is a spinoff of AMAZING FANTASY FEST, which has run for 16 years in Buffalo, New York. AMAZING ANIMATION FESTIVAL and AMAZING FANTASY FEST were both founded by Gregory Lamberson, who is a member of the Producers Guild of America. Lamberson is also the founder of EMPIRE STATE FILM FESTIVAL in Ithaca, New York, and is the Executive Director of Cinema Arts Collaborative, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to growing and educating the Western New York film community. His wife Tamar and their daughter Kaelin are the founders of VALKYRIE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, which showcases films directed by women and runs in Buffalo, at The Screening Room,

All of the festivals mentioned above include animated films in their programming, but animation is too important to be confined to one or two blocks in a festival, which is tokenism. The art form deserves a dedicated festival in the Buffalo area.

AMAZING ANIMATION FESTIVAL will screen animated films of all types: 2D Hand Drawn Animation, 3D Computer Animation, Stop Motion Animation, Anime - even films that combine live action with any of the animation techniques mentioned above. We won't show films that utilize generative A.I.
